Use of this website for studying Precision Agriculture is available to all persons at no charge. Redistribution of web material is allowed under agreements similar to those used for the distribution of Linux (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html ). Our objective is to use the power of the Internet to help others learn about this exciting field of study. 

If after studying the web material on your own, you find you would like support in your study of Precision Agriculture, there are a number of possibilities. 

Support funded by grants
The USDA and ARI grants that fund these pages also provide for support for college instructors in the US and California agriculturists.

Are you a college instructor?

A USDA Challenge grant will fund class participation during Spring quarters 2000, 2001, and 2002 for sixty University, College or Community College instructors in the United States desiring to use the web material for their classes in following years.

Funding from USDA will provide staff support at a separate WebCT website to:
· Answer your individual Precision Agriculture questions 
· Allow participation in class exercises and discussion groups
· Provide assistance to you in using the web material at your college
· Provide an opportunity to attend three one day laboratories
· Provide an opportunity to use videotapes of those exercises for your study or your students study

Are you a California agriculturist?

A California State University Agricultural Research Initiative (ARI) will fund staff support during Fall Quarters 2000 and 2001 for sixty California agriculturists in their exploration of the usefulness of Precision Agriculture in their agricultural operations.

Funding from ARI will provide staff support at a separate WebCT website to:
· Answers to your individual Precision Agriculture questions 
· Allow participation in class exercises and discussion groups
· Provide an opportunity for you to attend three one day laboratories
· Provide an opportunity for you to use videotapes of those exercises
· Provide an opportunity for you to use this material to educate others in your organization

Support funded by fees
The following California universities will provide fee-based courses in precision agriculture. Courses held at California State Universities may be attended under the Open Enrolment Policy that does not require admission to the University.
